About This Listing. Here is a super rare bass made by the Pearl Guitar Company (rumored to be the same as the Pearl Drum Company). These were made in Japan in the late 70's by Matsumoku. The serial number is "2002196" and there are numbers on the backs of the pickups, but I don't know if they correspond to any dates .
