We are The Guards Museum: representing the soldiers that you may have seen guarding Buckingham Palace. We cover nearly 400 years of rich history behind the five regiments of Foot Guards – a history that spans from the beginning of the British Army to the present day.
The Guards Museum is a military museum in Central London, England. It is in Wellington Barracks on Birdcage Walk near Buckingham Palace, which is the home of the five regiments of Foot Guards (the Grenadier Guards, Coldstream Guards, Scots Guards, Irish Guards, and Welsh Guards ).
The story of the Foot Guards spans over 360 years of history and they served in many of the campaigns and theatres that shaped the modern world. Find out about their pivotal role at Waterloo, or how they have adapted to ever changing warfare in the 20th Century.
The Guards Museum tells the story of the five regiments of Foot Guards who have the honour and duty of protecting the Sovereign and the Royal Palaces from 1660 to the present day.

Opening Times: Open Seven days a week: 10am – 4pm. Last admission: 3:30pm. Please note that certain dates in the year the Guards Museum is closed. Please check the Guards Museum website www.theguardsmuseum.com prior to your visit. Adults: £8.00. Children (aged under 16): Free Admission.
