Doc Croc is resourceful and Yoyo is amusing and cute. 'The Nightingale's' characters are interesting in personality and the titular character has an especially notable charm. The voice acting fit the characters well, being emotive and fitting the characters' personalities without any hamminess, passiveness or blandness.

Yoyo and Doc Croc are two tireless wanderers, who fly on their magical book directly into the story. Despite their differences, they are best friends. They always join forces, so that the story reaches its happy ending.
Love Doc Croc's resourcefulness while Yoyo is his usual adorable and funny self. 'Old Sultan's' characters are interesting enough, with one of the most likeable and relatable titular characters of the series.
