No other player on the Japan team reached double figures in kills. She carried the team to their first World Championship medal in 32 years. Kimura in action at London 2012. Two years later at the London Olympics, Japan faced their Asian rivals China in the quarterfinals.
9 de ago. de 2014 · Saori Kimura has a mission: to make the many Japanese volleyball fans happy by winning a major event. Japan won the World Championships three times between 1962 and 1974, and won an Olympic gold in Montreal in 1976.

木村 沙織 （きむら さおり、 1986年 8月19日 - ）は、 日本 の元女子 バレーボール 選手。 日本バレーボール協会 アスリート委員会委員 [1] 。 マネジメント 契約先は スポーツビズ 。 実妹の 木村美里 も元バレーボール選手。 夫は元インドア・ビーチバレー選手の 日高裕次郎 。 来歴. 幼少期. 埼玉県 八潮市 生まれ。 その後父親の仕事の都合で大阪、東京と転々とした後、 東京都 あきる野市 の多西小に通う。 バレーボールをしていた両親（特に母親）の影響を受け、小学校2年生の時に秋川JVCに入団し、バレーボールを始める。 秋川JVCは守備練習中心のチームで、この頃レシーブ練習を数多くこなした事が、現在のレシーブ力に生かされていると本人は語っている。
