The Basilica of Our Lady of Licheń is a Roman Catholic church located at the Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows, Queen of Poland, in the village of Licheń Stary near Konin in the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland. It was designed by Barbara Bielecka and built between 1994 and 2004.

Thanks to the generosity of visiting pilgrims, a new Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lichen was built, modeled after St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican. Pope John Paul II consecrated this church – Poland’s largest – on June 7, 1999. It is the 7 th largest church in Europe.
The sanctuary is the apparition of Our Lady in 1850 Grąblin forest. It is over a century and a half of prayers of millions of people before the image of the Lady of Lichen.
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lichen . Lichen is the second-largest centre of pilgrimage in Poland after Częstochowa. The object of cult around which it is built up is a diminutive miraculous image of Our Lady of Sorrows, Queen of Poland.
