Richárd Rapport (born 25 March 1996) is a Hungarian chess grandmaster. A chess prodigy, he earned his grandmaster title at the age of 13 years, 11 months, and six days, making him Hungary's youngest ever grandmaster. He was the Hungarian Chess Champion in 2017 and was the fifth-rated player in the world in May 2022.
Young Grandmaster. At the end of 2016, Rapport defeated GM Wei Yi in the match between the two strongest junior players in the world. Rapport's original opening choices and outstanding endgame prowess caught the attention of none other than IM Daniel Rensch, Chess.com's Chief Chess Officer.

Richard Rapport es un prodigio del ajedrez, natural de Szombathely, Hungría, el cual irrumpió con gran fuerza en el panorama ajedrecístico en un periodo de tiempo bastante breve. Consiguió el título de gran maestro a la edad de 13 años y 11 meses, siendo el más joven de la historia en lograrlo por aquél entonces.
Su carrera de ajedrez comenzó a los 9 años. En 2006 ocupó el tercer lugar en el Campeonato Juvenil de Hungría en la categoría sub-10, y en 2007 se coronó vencedor del Campeonato de Ajedrez Rápido de Hungría. En el Abierto de Aschach 2007 por primera vez derrotó a un gran maestro.
