Richard Royce Schrock (born January 4, 1945) is an American chemist and Nobel laureate recognized for his contributions to the olefin metathesis reaction used in organic chemistry.
Richard R. Schrock is a renowned organometallic chemist who discovered alkylidene complexes and developed ring-opening-metathesis polymerization. He is the F. G. Keyes Professor of Chemistry Emeritus at MIT and a Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry in 2005.
