We've made some improvements to the ink experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 and iOS. In this article we'll give you a quick introduction to those changes. Word's Action Pen. First up is Word's Action pen which is an easier way to launch the ink editing experience in Word.
Inking mode is turned on when you have selected a pen or highlighter on the Draw tab. Otherwise, you are in Select mode, and you can tap to select an object. PowerPoint Mobile and Excel Mobile also have an ink selection tool, Lasso Select , , specifically for selecting objects drawn with ink.
To change the color of your ink, or switch from pen to highlighter or eraser, move your cursor to the lower left corner of the window to expose the presentation toolbar. Then click the Ink button to pop up the ink menu.
Office 365. If you have a touchscreen laptop or tablet you will see the Draw ribbon in PowerPoint that allows you to access all these features. No touchscreen, no Draw ribbon. But you can add the Draw ribbon regardless of whether you have a touchscreen or not. Step 1: Access the Ribbon Customization dialog box.
