7 de may. de 2023 · Noel’s 1960 Les Paul had, by 1994, faded to a muted burst, and had stock Gibson PAF humbucking pickups. It featured a mahogany body with a maple cap, with the wood grain highly visible under the finish.
Noel’s first Gibson Les Paul was a 1960 sunburst model which he borrowed from Johnny Marr – ex-guitarist of The Smiths. Noel wrote and recorded “Slide Away” and “Live Forever” on this guitar. Unfortunately he broke the guitar’s neck in 1994 in Newcastle when a fan climb on the stage and Noel used the guitar to defend himself.

The 20 instruments will only be available in-person to attendees on the official opening day of the Gibson Garage London: Saturday, February 24th, 2024.

The release, conceived to celebrate the grand opening of the Gibson Garage London (24 February), will be available exclusively from the store on the day of the event.
