The if clause tells you the condition (If you study hard) and the main clause tells you the result (you will pass your exams). The order of the clauses does not change the meaning. If you study hard, you will pass your exams.
Conditional Sentences are also known as Conditional Clauses or If Clauses. They are used to express that the action in the main clause (without if) can only take place if a certain condition (in the clause with if) is fulfilled. There are three types of Conditional Sentences.

El orden de las dos partes es intercambiable. Por ejemplo: If my friends come over for dinner (condición), I’ll prepare a special dish (resultado).
