War Boys are the paramilitary arm of The Citadel and serve as Immortan Joe's servants and soldiers. They appear in both Mad Max: Fury Road and Mad Max (2015 Video Game), as well as the prequel film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
The War Boy weapon of choice is the Thunderstick, which are improvised explosive-tipped spears. Check out this gallery of screen-used samples.
When not riding the "fury road," War Boys worship at a V8 altar within The Citadel. They all have a personalized steering wheel, that holds a personalized religious significance to each War Boy. When not in use, the wheel sits upon the altar - connected to the V8.

A deleted scene shows the warboys being selected with their parents wanting them to be selected as this is their best chance for survival in this world.
