Sonya Leite (born December 10th, 1955) is a voice actress who voiced roles in cartoons, TV, and films. She is known for voicing Lofty for the US dub until the end of the ninth season.
Lofty fears heights, mice, loud noises, and formerly Spud the Scarecrow. Neil Morrissey gives Lofty a high-pitched British accent. But Sonya Leite, Emma Tate and Lizzie Waterworth all give him an American accent. Lofty says "er" ("uh" in the US dub) every time he talks and usually uses it once or twice per sentence.
He is voiced in the UK by Neil Morrissey (who also voices Bob, Roley, Farmer Pickles, Mr. Fothergill and Mr. Sabatini), and in the US by Sonya Leite in the Original Series, Emma Tate in Project: Build It (who also voices Dizzy in the US and Benny in both dubs) and Lizzie Waterworth in Ready, Steady, Build!.
