7 de jun. de 2023 · Tony McPhee, best known as guitarist and frontman for UK blues rock band The Groundhogs, has passed away aged 79, according to a post on the band’s social media pages. McPhee suffered a series of strokes, beginning in 2009, which impaired his ability to perform as vocalist and he eventually retired from The Groundhogs in 2015.
McPhee's definitive biography, written by Paul Freestone, was published in 2012. Health issues and death. In 2009, McPhee suffered a stroke, which affected his speech and ability to sing.
