La catedral, construida en Miraflores como iglesia en 1946 cuando a pocas cuadras todavía existían campos de algodón, incluye vitrales antiguos del siglo XIX que adornaban la iglesia original en el Jirón Carabaya en el centro de Lima. Fue consagrada como catedral y como sede del Obispo de la diócesis en 1994.
