Split bolt connectors tighten to create strong connections between two or more conductors to splice, extend, or terminate them. They consist of a bolt with a split base where the conductors fit and a nut that threads around the bolt with a hex tool to compress and join the conductors.
These high strength copper alloy split bolt connectors can be used with a range of solid copper wire, compact, compressed, copper-weld conductors and rebar. Both ‘S’ and ‘SEL’ series copper split bolt connectors are suitable for direct burial and marked with “DB” on the head for all conductor sizes up to 500 MCM.
