Taste fue una banda de blues rock fundada en 1966 en la ciudad irlandesa de Cork por Rory Gallagher. Creada como power trio, lanzaron solo dos álbumes de estudio en sus cortos cuatro años de carrera, con un relativo éxito en el Reino Unido y una escasa atención en Norteamérica.

William Rory Gallagher ( Ballyshannon, Donegal, 2 de marzo de 1948– Londres, Inglaterra, 14 de junio de 1995) fue un músico, compositor y productor irlandés de blues rock, rhythm and blues y rock, conocido mundialmente por ser fundador de la banda Taste y por su exitosa carrera en solitario.
