This highly tunable engine was offered with power between 327hp and 493hp, depending on the variant. Alongside the standard Base Model, notable variants included the V-Spec I, V-Spec II, Nür, and NISMO Z-Tune.
In February 2002, Nissan launched a final production model of the R34 GT-R called the Skyline GT-R V·Spec II Nür [63] and the Skyline GT-R M·Spec Nür, which were based on the V-Spec II N1. The Nür was named after the famous German Nürburgring racetrack, where the Skyline was developed.
