He was diagnosed with liver cancer, something he neither made a secret of nor chose to acknowledge as a threat.
Mick’s illness had really begun to kick in and, as I recall, we took every Tuesday off so that Mick could fry over to England for chemotherapy. Ronson would return the next day unruffled, uncomplaining, and with that marvelous head of rock-star hair still intact.
The Mick Ronson Memorial Stage in 2007 Ronson died of liver cancer on 29 April 1993, aged 46. [34] On 6 May, his funeral was held in a Mormon chapel in London, as he had been raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints . [35]
