  2. Mayfield School is a school for pupils from EYFS through to KS4 with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. We aim to provide a learning environment that meets the needs of the diverse population of children and young people for whom we are responsible.

  3. Leadership Profile. My name is Stuart Heron and I have had the honour of being the Headteacher of Mayfield School since 2020. I have had a number of different Senior Leadership roles, since 2013, in various schools and education settings located in Torbay and Devon and I am very proud to lead our amazing SEND school.

  6. The children who attend Mayfield Chestnut Centre exhibit a wide range of both social, emotional and mental health and educational needs, which by their nature can impinge upon their progress. As a school we work on trauma informed principles, the school provides a flexible curriculum that addresses all areas of the individual student’s needs.
