Emilico is a cheerful, newly created Doll who serves a rather soft-spoken master named Kate.
Suspicious about the Shadows House and its hierarchy, Kate slowly gains allies with Emilico to organise a rebellion against the manor. Kate is revealed to be the daughter of Lady Catherine, a human noble who once lived in the Mirrors House and subsequently became a Shadow. Her soot ability enables her to move objects from a distance.
