Emmett Shear (born 1983) is an American Internet entrepreneur and investor. [1] [a] He is the co-founder of live video platform Justin.tv. He served as the chief executive officer of Twitch when it was spun off from Justin.tv until March 2023. In 2011, Shear was appointed as a part-time partner at venture capital firm Y Combinator. [2] .
