In 1985, the A&M Studios were the site of two charity recordings. On January 28, 45 artists came together in Studio A to record the single "We Are the World" as USA for Africa. The recording benefitted African famine victims. On May 29, 1985, 40 heavy metal artists gathered as Hear 'N Aid to record the single "Stars."

1416 N. LaBREA, HOLLYWOOD, CA. Charlie Chaplin bought a five acre property at the corner of Sunset and LaBrea Avenues in late 1917. The property extended south to De Longpre. The northern part of the property included Chaplin's home, a guest house, tennis courts and riding stables. South of the gate, Chaplin built his movie studio.
