In computer graphics, draw distance ( render distance or view distance) is the maximum distance of objects in a three-dimensional scene that are drawn by the rendering engine. Polygons that lie beyond the draw distance will not be drawn to the screen.
Character art is drawings of characters used in media such as gaming, animation, and manga. But it doesn’t stop there. Each character has a role in the story of the game, animation, etc., and each has a set character personality, age, etc. Designing characters with an appearance that fits the backstory is an important element of character art.
A sketch can be like a quick line drawing or caricature that fleshes character out when you fill in some blanks: the basics: age, gender, height, weight, hair colour, shoe size…. add a sense of place, both physical and social: home location, job, education…. toss in a bit of “flavour” with likes/dislikes, idiosyncrasies….
