I've long wondered myself. The only time I could really see 480p looking good is either on a native 480p LCD, or on something like a PC CRT that can accept 480p input. In my limited experience, 480p doesn't look that good on a typical 720p or 1080p flatscreen.
Monster was made in 2004-05, it aired on standard definition TV broadcasts, and it was only ever released on DVD, not Blu-Ray. Or in other words: it's a low-res show, and 480p is the best you can realistically get. Get a smaller display (like 1024x768), perhaps?
10 de jun. de 2023 · Everytime I export my video and I upload on YouTube I see all resolution except for 480p . There's from 144p till 1080p and I used media encoder , and used youtube 1080p export and still not solve
Update: I got a Google Chromecast 4K and it's fixed a lot of my movies, but weirdly, some are still capped to 480p; Halloween 2018, Halloween Ends, Puss In Boots The Last Wish & Minions 2 The Rise of Gru.
I have a VIP account yet I can't even download the 480p version (through IDM). IDM displays all the qualities but as I've mentioned, they're all labelled protected and can't be downloaded. How did that happen?

OK, a GTX1080 is an old video card, but 0.5fps for 480p input is unfeasibly slow. I hope that DaVinci can improve the speed of the Enhanced 2X SS process.
