An eyecatch (アイキャッチAikyatchi) is a little animation shown before and after a commercial break generally used to "tell" the viewer what TV show they are watching. This is a list of eyecatches used in the four Dragon Ball series, as well as Dragon Ball Z Kai .

I'm referring to when the episode goes to an ad break, so they have this little bit of music and a picture/animation before cutting or returning to adbreaks. I absolutely understand they were for when the show airs on TV, but when binge watching, I find them real immersion breaking.
