Sergey Ivanovich Smirnov (Russian: Серге́й Ива́нович Смирно́в; 12 April 1953 – 8 November 2006) was a Russian artist. Smirnov ranks Gustav Klimt, the Austrian cornerstone of the art nouveau movement painter, as an important influence.
Sergey Smirnov's art captures the depth and beauty of the human soul, reminiscent of old Russian church iconography, with style influenced by Gustav Klimt, Modigliani and Rembrandt. His art has been collected by world leaders and exhibited at the Moscow Manezh and London Orlean House.
