Lafayette Ronald Hubbard [1] (Tilden, Nebraska; 13 de marzo de 1911-Creston, California; 24 de enero de 1986), conocido también como L. Ron Hubbard, fue un escritor estadounidense de libros de ciencia ficción y fantasía, filósofo, fundador de la Iglesia de la Cienciología.
Lafayette Ronald Hubbard was born on March 13, 1911, the only child of Ledora May Waterbury (1885–1959), who had trained as a teacher, and Harry Ross Hubbard (1886–1975), a low-ranking United States Navy officer. Like many military families of the era, the Hubbards repeatedly relocated around the United States and overseas. After moving to Kalispell, Montana, they settled in Helena in 1913.
