It is the twentieth and final entry of the Heisei Era, serving to commemorate its 20th Anniversary, and the thirty-third series overall.

Kamen Rider Zi-O (仮面ライダージオウ, Kamen Raidā Jiō) is a Japanese tokusatsu drama in the Toei Company's Kamen Rider franchise. It is the twenty-ninth Kamen Rider series overall as well as the twentieth and final installment in the Heisei period.
Kamen Rider Zi-O transforms by inserting the Zi-O Ridewatch into the right-hand side of the Ziku-Driver and spinning the Driver 360 degrees. He accesses Rider Armor (ライダーアーマー, Raidā Āmā) forms based on Kamen Riders by inserting Ridewatches into the left-hand side of the Ziku-Driver.
Kamen Rider Zi-O is a Japanese action-adventure series that follows Sougo Tokiwa, who is destined to become a tyrant in the future. He travels across time to change his fate and meets other Kamen Riders from the past and present.
