Galton and Simpson were a British comedy scriptwriting duo, who wrote for radio, television and film, consisting of Ray Galton OBE (17 July 1930 – 5 October 2018) and Alan Simpson OBE (27 November 1929 – 8 February 2017).
Genres Comedy Writers Galton and Simpson were wooed across to ITV by LWT's Head of Entertainment Frank Muir and charged with providing six individual playlets in the style they had utilised as sole writers for the first two series of the BBC's Comedy Play house.
