Carl Friedrich Freiherr von Weizsäcker (German: [kaʁl ˈfʁiːdʁɪç fɔn ˈvaɪtsɛkɐ] ⓘ; 28 June 1912 – 28 April 2007) was a German physicist and philosopher. He was the longest-living member of the team which performed nuclear research in Nazi Germany during the Second World War, under Werner Heisenberg's leadership.
Carl Friedrich Weizsäcker (Carl Friedrich Freiherr von Weizsäcker; Kiel, 1912 - Söcking, 2007) Físico y filósofo alemán. Estudió con Niels Bohr en Copenhague, formó parte desde 1936 del Instituto Max Planck, y desde 1946 fue docente de Física Teórica en la Universidad de Gotinga.

Nació 28 de junio de 1912 en Kiel, Alemania. Su padre, diplomático alemán y secretario de Estado en el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Su hermano, Richard Freiherr von Weizsäcker, fue presidente de la República Federal de Alemania ( 1984 - 1994 ).
