James Patrick Allison (born August 7, 1948) is an American immunologist and Nobel laureate who holds the position of professor and chair of immunology and executive director of immunotherapy platform at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas.
Dr. Allison is a Nobel laureate and a leader in cancer immunotherapy research. He is the chair of the Department of Immunology, the director of the Parker Institute for Cancer Research, and the founder of the James P. Allison Institute at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
