David Elieser Deutsch FRS (/ d ɔɪ tʃ / DOYTCH; born 18 May 1953) is a British physicist at the University of Oxford. He is a visiting professor in the Department of Atomic and Laser Physics at the Centre for Quantum Computation (CQC) in the Clarendon Laboratory of the University of Oxford.
David Deutsch is a Visiting Professor of physics at Oxford University and an Honorary Fellow of Wolfson College. He works on quantum theory, computation and information, and has written two books for the general reader.
David Deutsch is a physicist and author who discovered the first quantum algorithm and proposed constructor theory. He is a proponent of the multiverse interpretation of quantum mechanics and has spoken at TED events on topics such as explanation, intelligence and possibility.
About Me – David Deutsch. I was born in Haifa, Israel. I studied physics at Cambridge and Oxford Universities. After several years at the University of Texas at Austin, I returned to Oxford, where I now live and work.
