Ordained in 1974 at the age of 24, Ajahn Pasanno was one of the first residents at Ajahn Chah’s renowned international monastery—Wat Pah Nanachat. Ajahn Pasanno became its abbot in his ninth year, leaving 14 years later to lead Abhayagiri Monastery in California together with Ajahn Amaro.
