ಬನ್ನಂಜೆ ಎಂಬ (ಅಪ್ಪನೆಂಬ)ಬೃಹದಾರಣ್ಯಕ! ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಪಡುಮುನ್ನೂರು ನಾರಾಯಣಾಚಾರ್ಯ ವಂಶದ ಕುಡಿ ಬನ್ನಂಜೆ ಗೋವಿಂದಾಚಾರ್ಯ. ಈ ವಂಶದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯೇ ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷ ಕಥೆ. ಅಡುಗೆ ಭಟ್ಟರ ಮನೆತನ, ಆಚಾರ್ಯರಾದದ್ದು ಸ್ವಂತ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ. ಅನಂತ ಭಟ್ಟರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಜ್ಜ ಅಡುಗೆ ಭಟ್ಟರಿಂದ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರಾದರು. ಅಜ್ಜಿ ಪದ್ಮಾವತಿ ಕೂಡಾ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಪಂಡಿತೆ. ಅಂಥ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ದಾಂಪತ್ಯದ ಫಲ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು. ಈ ನಾರಾಯಣ ಮದುವೆ ಆದ ಮರುದಿನ ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
