Vilmos Zsigmond (1930-2016) was a Hungarian-American cinematographer who won an Oscar for Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977). He worked with directors such as Robert Altman, Woody Allen and Mark Rydell, and used natural light and vivid colors in his films.
