Mary FitzRoy, Duchess of Richmond and Somerset (c. 1519 – 7 December 1557), born Mary Howard, was a daughter-in-law of King Henry VIII of England, being the wife of his illegitimate son Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset.

She appears to have inherited her mother’s determined personality. She married the illegitimate son of King Henry VIII.
Mary Howard found life under Edward VI more comfortable. As a member of a staunchly Catholic family, her enthusiasm for the protestant faith was sometimes regarded with caution, but her patronage of John Bale suggests she was a willing convert.
