Sir Harold George Nicolson KCVO CMG (21 November 1886 – 1 May 1968) was a British politician, diplomat, historian, biographer, diarist, novelist, lecturer, journalist, broadcaster, and gardener. His wife was the writer Vita Sackville-West .

Nicolson, Sir Harold George (1886–1968), diplomatist and politician, was born at the British legation, Tehran, on 21 November 1886, the third son of Arthur Nicolson, first Baron Carnock (1849–1928), and his wife, (Mary) Katharine Rowan (d. 1951), the youngest daughter of Captain Archibald Rowan Hamilton of Killyleagh Castle, co. Down.
