John Selwyn Gummer, Baron Deben, PC (born 26 November 1939) is a British Conservative Party politician, formerly the Member of Parliament (MP) for Suffolk Coastal and now a member of the House of Lords.
Lord Deben is the current title of John Selwyn Gummer, a Conservative peer and a former member of Parliament for Suffolk Coastal. He served in various government posts, including Secretary of State for Environment and Agriculture, and was the leader of the Conservative Party from 1983 to 1985.
