Iain Burnside is a Scottish classical pianist and accompanist, and a former presenter on BBC Radio 3. Following study at Merton College, Oxford, the Royal Academy of Music and the Chopin Academy, in Warsaw he became a freelance pianist, specialising particularly in song repertoire.
Interweaving roles as pianist and Sony-Award-winning radio presenter with equal aplomb, Iain Burnside (“pretty much ideal” BBC Music Magazine) is also - as ‘Century Songs’ demonstrated - a master programmer with an instinct for the telling juxtaposition.

He is Artistic Director of the Ludlow English Song Weekend and Artistic Consultant to Grange Park Opera, Surrey. Future projects include Ludlow Day and the series Beyond Rachmaninov at Wigmore Hall, recitals in Zurich with Rosa Feola and Amsterdam with Roderick Williams, and concerts with Trio Balthasar in Italy and Belgium.
