Coxsone Dodd was a Jamaican record producer who pioneered ska and reggae music in the 1950s and 1960s. He founded Studio One, the first black-owned recording studio in Jamaica, and worked with artists such as Bob Marley, Toots and the Maytals, and the Skatalites.
