Monotonix were a garage rock band from Tel Aviv, Israel. The group—singer Ami Shalev, guitarist Yonatan Gat, and drummer Ran Shimoni (later replaced by Haggai Fershtman)—released their debut EP in 2008 and toured mostly in the United States and Europe, including notable appearances at SXSW.

In the mid-2000s, singer Ami Shalev, guitarist Yonatan Gat, and drummer Haggai Fershtman formed stoner-metal-cum-garage-punk trio Monotonix in Tel Aviv. Feeling limited by their native scene, the band began making its way abroad, and gaining a reputation for chaotic, destructive, and even sexual live performances.
