Synopsis. Set in January 1999, a simple diamond heist leads Lupin into the machinations of a bizarre apocalyptic cult based around the prophecies of Nostradamus. The cult's plan involves kidnapping Julia, the daughter of Douglas, a wealthy American who is seeking to run in the 2000 presidential election.

In 1999, Lupin III and Daisuke Jigen steal a diamond and hide it in a doll. Inspector Zenigata attempts to catch the two, but they escape on an airplane. While on the plane, a girl named Julia steals Lupin's doll. Lupin chases her, leading him to Fujiko Mine, who is chaperoning her.

Overview. A simple diamond heist leads Lupin into the machinations of a bizarre cult based around the prophecies of Nostradamus. They kidnap Julia, the daughter of Douglas, a wealthy American who is seeking the presidency, along with Lupin's diamond. At stake is the lost book of prophecy Douglas holds in the vault at the top of his skyscraper.
Richard Nixon builds the Tower of Bable, but is being undermined by the Nostradamus cult. His daughter is kidnapped by an animated version of Benny “The Jet”, but Japan’s greatest thief, Lupin III, saves the day.
