Peter Weibel ( Odesa, Ucrania, 5 de marzo de 1944 1 - Karlsruhe, Alemania, 1 de marzo de 2023) fue un artista austriaco conocido internacionalmente como post-artista conceptual, curator y teórico sobre nuevos medios. Empezó en 1964 como poeta visual pero pronto se dedicó al lenguaje tecnológico con metodología estructuralista.

From 1999 until 2023, Peter Weibel was Chairman and CEO of the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe and since 2017 director of the Peter Weibel Research Institute for digital Cultures at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. On March 1, 2023, he passed away in Karlsruhe after a short serious illness at the age of 78. _____
