Ernest Dominic Capers (born August 7, 1950) is an American football coach who is a senior defensive assistant for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the inaugural head coach of the Panthers and the Houston Texans for four seasons each.
Dom Capers is a veteran NFL coach with 50 years of experience and 10 teams. He was the Panthers first head coach from 1995-98 and returns in 2022 as senior defensive assistant.
