Has 25 years of coaching experience, serving as the head coach for University of Miami from 2007-10 and has won three national championships as a player and coach. Shannon helped oversee a defense in 2016 that ranked fifth nationally (second in the SEC) in total defense, allowing just 293.0 yards per game.
