Normally a prolific left winger, Kostić is regarded as one of the finest Yugoslav players of his generation and was well known for his powerful shot and free kick ability.

A prolific left winger, Bora Kostić is regarded as one of finest Yugoslav players of his generation and was well known for his powerful shot and free kick ability. He played most of his career from 1951-67 with Red Star Belgrade, with short spells to Vicenza Calcio in Italy in 1961-62 and the St. Louis Stars in the US in 1967.
