Saif Saaeed Shaheen, nacido Stephen Cherono, (Kenia, 15 de octubre de 1982) es un atleta catarí de origen keniano, especialista en la prueba de 3000 m obstáculos, con la que ha logrado ser campeón mundial en 2003 y en 2005.
Saif Saaeed Shaheen (Arabic: سيف سعيد شاهين), formerly Stephen Cherono (born 15 October 1982), is a steeplechase runner. He was born in Keiyo, Kenya but now he represents Qatar. He was, for 19 years, the world record holder for 3000 metre steeplechase. He is a two time World Champion in the event.
Saif Saaeed Shaheen (árabe: سيف سعيد شاهين ), anteriormente Stephen Cherono (nacido 15 de octubre de 1982), es corredor de obstáculos. Nació en Keiyo, Kenia, pero ahora representa a Qatar. Fue, durante 19 años, poseedor del récord mundial de 3.000 metros con obstáculos. Es dos veces campeón mundial en el evento.

12 de may. de 2005 · World Steeplechase champion and record holder Saif Saaeed Shaheen was thought to have a chance of winning the short race at the World Cross Country Championships. Although he didn’t manage to grab any individual honour the 22-year-old was proud of his team’s bronze medal.
