Yoshihisa Hirano (平野 義久, Hirano Yoshihisa, born December 7, 1971) is a Japanese composer and arranger. JP. 1971年12月7日和歌山県新宮市生まれ。 5歳よりヴァイオリンを始める。 バロック音楽に魅了され、小学生の頃から独学で作曲を始める。 高校時代にジャズと邂逅、また、ジョン・ゾーンへの心酔を契機に現代音楽に心惹かれるようになる。 一方で、ショスタコーヴィチの交響曲に強い感銘を受け、本格的な作曲の修行を決意する。 高校卒業後紆余曲折を経て渡米、イーストマン音楽院で作曲をクリストファー・ラウス、ジョセフ・シュワントナー両氏に師事する。 バタイユ、クロソウスキー、マンディアルグ、ジュネら20世紀フランスの作家・思想家に傾倒し、授業もそっちのけで多くの時間を読書、そして作曲に費やす。 紆余曲折を経て同院中退、その後帰国。
