Henri Jean Auguste Oreiller (5 December 1925 – 7 October 1962) was an alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist from France. He won two gold medals and a bronze at the 1948 Winter Olympics, becoming the most successful athlete those Games in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Biography. A member of the French underground during World War II, Henri Oreiller was known as "The Acrobat" because he was able to negotiate the slopes of Val d'Isère on one ski. Unexpected obstacles. When the 1948 Olympic Games in St. Moritz began, Oreiller was full of confidence.
Henri Oreiller was a French skiier who won three medals at the 1948 Winter Olympics, including the first Olympic downhill gold. He later switched to motor racing and died in a crash in 1962.
