Peter Joseph Vermes (/ v ɜːr ˈ m iː s /; born November 21, 1966) is an American professional soccer coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of Sporting Kansas City in Major League Soccer.
Peter Vermes is the longest-tenured head coach in MLS history and the fourth-winningest coach with four major trophies. He also played for the U.S. national team and several European clubs, and was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2013.
